Orchestra Romanesca brings a striking multicultural show combining a great variety of worldmusic like gypsymusic, French chansons, jazz, tango and flamenco. While hilighting both the differerences and similarites, Romanesca shows that contemporary musical adventures and ancient traditions go side by side.

Particularly gypsymusic and jazz originaly arrose improvising around the campfire, or in the pub. Inspired by existing folk tunes musicians tried new impassionate melodies, chords and rhythmns to fit their own story. Giants like Astor Piazolla and Django Reinhardt combined authentic music with jazz. By composing new songs telling new stories, Romanesca carries on this tradition aiming to create a new sound, using crosscultural elements.
